Since its establishment, Big Vision has been committed to the exploration of advanced technology for ophthalmic medical image artificial intelligence analysis and diagnosis, especially in the integration of ophthalmic multimodal image analysis and diagnosis in the international forefront. Recently, Big Vision was approved to participate in the National Key R&D Project “Research, Development and Application of Ophthalmic Multimodal Imaging and Artificial Intelligence Diagnostic System” led by Sun Yat-sen University, which is another affirmation of Big Vision’s R&D strength and technology level.
This project takes Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province as a demonstration site, establishing a medical network from Guangdong Province to Zhaoqing City to each county, district and town, using the “ophthalmic multimodal imaging system” and artificial intelligence diagnosis and treatment platform to obtain clinical data at four levels: provincial, city, county, district and town, and to build a complete ophthalmic hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system. The project’s implementation is a great demonstration for relieving the pressure of large hospitals, making up for the shortage of medical resources at the grassroots level, promoting the sinking of quality medical resources to the grassroots level, and helping to solve social problems such as “difficult and expensive to see a doctor”. The successful experience of the project will be extended to all levels of hospitals in Guangdong Province and other provinces in China.
As a company deeply engaged in ophthalmic image artificial intelligence analysis and diagnosis, Big Vision has always taken the fusion of OCT and fundus color photography multimodal ophthalmic images as its own research and development direction. Clinical ophthalmology images are very complex, and only by aligning and fusing multimodal ophthalmology images can we provide more accurate detection information and supporting diagnostic opinions for multiple diseases in ophthalmology, thus becoming a powerful assistant for ophthalmologists, especially those in primary hospitals. Big Vision has been recognized by many well-known ophthalmology institutions for its technical achievements, and we look forward to a broader and deeper cooperation to achieve the mission of “early detection of every pair of eyes with problems and the best treatment plan”.
