Big Vision Public Welfare in Action ▏Be Upward and Kind
Since its establishment, Big Vision has been carrying out regular public welfare screening activities for ophthalmic diseases, practicing the corporate mission of “early detection of every pair of eyes with problems and giving the best treatment plan”, and benefiting thousands of families with advanced ophthalmic artificial intelligence technology.
The beautiful Tibetan village Ganzi – here we come!
Big Vision Ophthalmology’s charity screening never stops. In July, we had the honor to participate in the “Sichuan-Tibet-Qinghai Health and Light Project” organized by Wenzhou Medical University and came to Ganzi, Sichuan, the Tibetan countryside.
What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of Ganzi, Sichuan? Is it Ding Zhen’s warm and innocent smile and his naughty white horse Pearl… No one could have imagined that this simple Khampa boy, who walked into the camera without thinking, would also bring the beautiful Ganzi into the public’s view. The azure sky, snow-capped mountains, grasslands and temples instantly purify one’s soul as well.
Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture has a resident population of 1.1 million, of which about 80% are Tibetan compatriots, the average altitude of 3,500 meters, lack of oxygen, strong ultraviolet light, low air pressure led to a high incidence of local Tibetan eye disease, coupled with the lack of local medical facilities, the masses are more difficult to see eye disease.
The public welfare group sowed the flame of light on the plateau
Sichuan-Tibet-Qinghai Brightness Activity
The Sichuan-Tibet-Qinghai Health and Light Project, led by Wenzhou Medical University with the participation and cooperation of several social welfare organizations, has been going for 10 years to reach the less developed areas of Sichuan-Tibet-Qinghai plateau. The medical practitioner’s benevolence and love knows no bounds, and this participation has given us a personal feeling and understanding of the persistence and difficulty of the Wenzhou Medical University’s 10-year Tibetan Light Activity.
On July 23, Prof. Qu Jia, Director of the Department of Optometry of Wenzhou Medical University, and Prof. Lv Fan, Director of the National Clinical Medical Research Center for Ocular Diseases, flew from Chengdu to Kangding Airport at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters, and drove for more than an hour to Tagong Township to research and guide the work related to the “Tagong Light Activity”. They drove for more than one hour to Tagong Township to investigate and guide the work related to the “Tagong Light Activity”.
AI meets charity with a different kind of eye-catching color
BV1000 Highly efficient, fast and stable
Big Vision engineers with the self-developed fully automatic artificial intelligence OCT BV1000, from July 22 to 27 6 days, has been more than 1,300 Tibetan compatriots for fundus examination, an average of 2 minutes to complete an examination, the largest number of examination day reached 281 people, after the completion of the examination can receive artificial intelligence aided diagnosis report. This large-scale, high-intensity public welfare screening is also a test of Big Vision’s fully automated AI OCT, and the BV1000’s efficiency, speed and stability have been well received by the medical team leaders and doctors.
The Tagong Light Activity event gave Big Vision more confidence to invest in ophthalmic public welfare screening. The allocation of ophthalmic medical resources in China is inadequate and unbalanced, and more serious in remote areas; the use of advanced artificial intelligence technology is an effective way to achieve the goal of universal eye health. In the future, Big Vision will actively participate in more eye health public welfare actions and contribute to the national eye health cause with the power of science and technology.
